Inzalo Yamaqhawe Technologies ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect through this website, why, and how it's protected, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

1. Information collected through this website

• Jane, our website assistant: messages you type into the chat widget are sent to Google's Gemini AI service to generate a reply. A copy of your recent conversation is kept in your own browser's local storage (not on our servers) so the chat can resume if you revisit the page, and it automatically expires after 15 days.
• Contact requests: if you reach out via WhatsApp, email, or a project description shared through the chat, we receive whatever details you choose to share (name, contact details, project information) to respond to your enquiry.
• Shop orders: if you submit an order through our shop, we collect the details you provide (name, company, email, phone, WhatsApp, project brief) to prepare a quote and invoice.

2. Local storage, not tracking cookies

This site does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. It uses your browser's local storage only to remember your chat conversation and our verified operating hours, purely so the assistant works smoothly on your device. This information is never shared with other visitors and is not accessible to us directly — it lives only in your browser.

3. Third-party services we rely on

• Google Gemini API — powers Jane's responses. Your chat messages are processed by Google to generate a reply.
• Google Maps Platform — used to check our verified opening hours in real time.
• Google Fonts — used to load the typefaces on this site.

4. Why we collect this information

We use the information you share to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes and invoices, deliver the services you request, and improve how Jane assists visitors. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. How long we keep it

Chat history stored in your browser expires automatically after 15 days. Business records such as client, order, and payment information are retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the services provided and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

6. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to request a correction, or to request that it be deleted, subject to any legal or contractual obligations that require us to retain certain records (such as invoices).

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our services evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
